Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio who holds the Practicing Certificate of ANAN is a seasoned academic and University administrator. Currently, since 2020, he was appointed the Vice-Chancellor, of ANAN University, Kwall, Jos. He holds a National Diploma in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Jos, a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance, and a Ph.D. program in Accounting and Finance from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has recently been involved in accounting professional and consultancy services after obtaining a Practice license from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria in 2016. Prior to obtaining a Practice License, he did his Accountant-In-Training Programme with Abuchi Ed. Ogbuju & Co Certified National Accountants, Abuja, and has been involved in part-time practice with the firm.
“In relation to working experience, Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio started as Assistant Executive Officer (AEO) in the Bursary Department of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa in 1988 after obtaining a National Diploma. In 1994, he converted to a lecturer cadre. In 1997 he joined the services of the University of Abuja as Graduate Assistant and rose to Associate Professor in 2012. By 2015 he was appointed Professor of Accounting and Finance at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

He has taught a number of courses at all levels; from ND, HND, B.Sc., M.Sc. to Ph.D. levels. He has supervised a number of students’ projects, theses, and dissertations too numerous to mention. He has graduated with a Master’s and Doctoral student from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, University of Abuja, and Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio participated in recruitment exercises for both University of Abuja and Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
He was an external Examiner and visiting scholar at more than 10 Universities. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Bayero University, Kano, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, IBB University Lapai, American University of Nigeria, Yola, Kaduna State University, Kaduna, Gombe State University, Gombe, Kogi State University, Anyigba, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Nigerian Defense Academy to mention a few.
He served in various capacities in the University system. From Departmental Examination Officer, Staff Adviser, Coordinator of Programs, Seminar Coordinator, Membership of Committees, Editorial Board Membership, Membership of Senate, Membership of Council, Headship of Department, Dean of Postgraduate School, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics). He also served as Staff Advisor to clubs and societies.
Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio represented ASUU in University Committees like the Pension Fund Board of Trustees and the Senior Staff Investigation Committee. At the Local Community level, he is a member of the Elders Steering Committee of Nasarawa Emirate Council and a member Board of Governors, Nasarawa Community Secondary School, Nasarawa. At the Professional level, he is a member of the Editorial Board of Finance and Accounting Research Monitor (FARM), Nigeria Journal of Accounting (NJA), Journal of Governmental and Financial Accounting Research (JGAFA), Journal of Accounting Research (JAR), and Chairman Research and Technical Committee of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). He is also a Board member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria representing ANAN. He served as a member Practice & Quality Control Committee of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria. He is a fellow of ANAN, Institute of Management Consultants-Nigeria, and Nigerian Accounting Association, as well as an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers. In terms of Academic output, he has attended more than 70 Local and International Academic Conferences. He published extensively in more than 50 renowned academic journals and other highly rated publications.
As part of his academic output, he has participated in the Development of Accounting Standards both locally and internationally. He has also participated in the development of the Curriculum for Master and Ph.D. at the University of Abuja and others. He has also participated in the development of new, original programs for B.Sc. Taxation, M.Sc. Public Sector Accounting and other new initiatives of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
